Are you a fan of sunshine, great weather and gorgeous beaches? Well chances are, you’d love the Gold Coast. I’m not sure whether the “gold” in Gold Coast refers to the bright golden sand or the gold sun that’s always drenching this fun city. Either way, it’s a great place to get away and soak up the rays, enjoying the water sports and the local theme parks. Hit the Beaches:

Whether you are a fan of surfing, sunbathing or just cooling down in the ocean, you’ll really be spoiled for choice of beaches. The most famous beach if Surfer’s Paradise and that’s a great place to head if you want a busy beach that’s bustling with people almost every day of the year (even in winter). However, there’s a few other beaches you might not have considered, why not check out Nobby beach, Rainbow bay, or even Broadbeach Kurrawa if you want a family beach destination.

Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk:

This is a great way to see the natural beauty that surrounds the Gold Coast. When you think of Australia, rainforest probably isn’t the first thing that comes to mind, but this is a really beautiful rainforest. Along the way, you can see rock pools, butterfly lookouts and there’s also a tonne of helpful information about the local history. This skywalk is 30 meters above the valley, offering sweeping views over the creek and rainforest below.

Movie World, where you can get lost in a world that’s filled with fantasy, fun and adventure. You’ll find some really exciting adventure rides and movie attractions, all while being able to meet some of your favourite stars and super heroes. Sea World is a great place to see dolphins, seals and numerous other fish. It’s an educational experience as well as a lot of fun for the whole family.
